EV Star is a highly customizable, zero-emission vehicle that's fully FTA certified, Altoona tested and Buy America compliant. It offers a range that is world-class and ADA wheelchair-friendly features. It also has cargo delivery options. EV Star GreenPower Motor Company manufactures a complete range of medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicles, including high-floor and lower-floor models. The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their flagship vehicle, and it can be customized to suit a variety of applications. The platform's clean sheet design approach allows for the optimal placement of battery packs and a lower center of gravity, which results in better payload to range ratios. The EV Star REEFERX is designed to serve mid to last mile refrigerated delivery as well as catering applications. The refrigerated truck's class 4 configuration's one wall structure inside and higher insulation levels compared to traditional trucks enable seamless sanitation, improved temperature control and a longer life. The EV Star REEFERX delivers superior cargo capacity and a top payload-to-range ratio for zero-emission goods and passenger transportation. GreenPower has partnered with Perrone Robotics in order to equip the EV Star with TONY (To navigate you) autonomous vehicle systems, which will allow fleets to move to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star will also be capable of wireless charging of 75 kW. We were capable of testing the EV9 on an unpaved highway for several hours and found it to be easy to drive and comfortable to drive long distances. The EV9 can be used to block wind and road noise while on the highway. It is smooth on ruts and humps. The vehicle's acceleration is surprising quick, and it features adjustable regenerative brakes that allow “one-pedal driving” simply by taking off the accelerator. The EV9 has excellent range and can be fully charged within three hours at home, or with any commercial charger. The driver has the option of choosing between two operating modes – eco mode and sport mode.
